Dear Sasha, you get under my skin

Have you ever thought about what inspiration means? In the last days I was thinking about it (ok, I'm lazier but I really thought about it) and I realized I can't define the word in its all contexts. I mean, obviously I understand that something can inspire me to create something different, something new what was born in my mind because this inspirational stuff. But in a life of a person who does not create palpable/visible/sensible new matters what kind of role has the "inspiration"? What is that person inspirated for? Or we just like this expression because everybody understands its meaning: something we are somehow enthralled by. If you say xy inspirated me you don't have to explaining to much it's clear and short. But why we wrap it up like this? I'd like so much if everyone tell me what thinks and feels when he/she sees something what really enthrals him/her. Or is that too hard to formulate?

Sasha Pivovarova (first photo) on the 2008 Spring Valentino couture show wasn't wearing just a make-up. This is SEX itself, a get-out goddess from the Dallas, a concupiscence venus, a singing Siren. If I use the word perfection, it means nothing here because in this case it's just an overused boring cliche. Dear Sasha, you get under my skin - marry me.
Oho and what is this flower vase? Noritaka Tatehana doesn't joke. He creates multipurpose shoes so Lady Gaga can parades in them and they look good in a simple housewife's kitchen, too.

"I sometimes change my outfit 3 times a day.
I love clothes and I change the outfits according to the shows.
From time to time, I will wear an outfit which exactly matches what was just shown on the catwalk.
For example, if I see a look in the show with feathers, I'll change my outfit to something with feathers.
Also, I will wear an outfit of a designer friend, too.
Well, for me dressing up has become a part of my job!"
Időről időre olyan ruhát hordok, ami pontosan passzol ahhoz, amit a kifutón láttam.
Persze a tervező barátaim ruháit is szívesen hordom.
Szóval, számomra az öltözködés a munkám részévé vált!"

I got a strange dream, second time, now I can't explain it. Maybe I horrendously want high heels like these? In the dream my cousins live in Australia and we are visiting them. They got a huge house, but they don't really care about us so we go into the city and land in a cloth shop. And I'm desperately looking for shoes like these (I don't even need the I❤NY caption just want the shooooes) but I can't find good ones just lames. Cut, in the next scene we sit on the plane which in a very stange way boards in the city center, between the houses. A, please somebody send me these high heels and I gona promote them till I succumb. I promise!

So, am I the only one who see similarity between the next two picture? The regular young turk and Dorothy's shoes makes me to say damnit, what a drollery, both of them. I mean to hunt for crocodiles and to own these shoes (porcelainpiece?). The shoes are by a hungarian designer-duo Orsolya Poppre and Larisza Pasztircsák, hereafter pet them in the name of Mrs Herskin. Psychedelic madness is this, with the ghost of Talent and Originality what levitates above them, and seems to find the baasbody. On the right of the last word, listen to Comic Strip by Brigitte Bardot and Serge Gainsbourg, garb yourself, turn loud the tape and dance. Breathless. (Did I mention I am rabid mad for these Mrs Herskin shoes?)

Runway Special: Givenchy Fall Couture

"I like black. I like white. I never like what's in the middle." Riccardo Tisci

Givenchy Fall 2010 Couture
If you combine mothfacile lace with skull inlays, add fringes and fur, a little bit of gold and chocolate brown, you receive this miscellany what Riccardo Tisci, the current creative director of Givenchy calls the "A romantic way to see death." composition. Gorillafur 4., baroque congestion, ethereal ease and the new dress of Joan Of Arc 5-6. Papal armour for the gothic mission, Tisci goes to war with his beaten-with-millions angels.
Pápai vértezet a gótikus hittérítéshez, Tisci milliókkal kivert angyalaival vonul hadba.

Givenchy  Fall 2009 Couture
Their redundant goldbatteries the Berbers donated to Tisci who was not languid to applying his 16. century sweet saints with those keen spikes. Huge butts and wide hip maker cuttings, the Glittering, the keen tools, elbow-high jewellots, the black, the white, the gold and the red stones are prevail (and appears a little bit of squama). The gold topknots reminds to the intent Jesus' thorncrown and they are good to horn a bull too.
A Berberek felesleges aranykészleteiket eladományozták  Tiscinek, aki nem volt rest a 16. századi édes szentjeit ezekkel a szúró tüskékkel felaggatni. Hatalmas fenekek és széles csípőt formázó szabások, a minden szettben feltűnő Ragyogás, a szúró eszközök,  a könyökig érő ékszertömkeleg, a fekete, a fehér, az arany és a vörös kövek dominálnak (meg feltűnik némi halpikkely is). A megfeszített Jézus töviskoronáját idéző arany fejdíszekkel akár egy bikát is fel lehetne öklelni.

Givenchy Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2009/2010 Full Show

Riccardo Tisci is unambiguously the Lord of some superior powers and he has accidentally stayed on Earth. That's why he'd created the copy of the ancient swichbutton in the image of a bracelet (the master of camouflage) what outspreads the stones of the pyramid and through some spider webs and dusty curtains leads to an interdimensional gate. Ok, I stop.
By the way the wog Sungod, Re or queen Cleopatra would envy this amount of goldies which may be hard to wear because of their weight and the trouble of applying. I am, the goldlover, truly enthralled.

Givenchy  Fall 2008 Couture
The most doubtful things for me in this collection these leather and enamel pads... First I thought why must wear duckfeet, they're cumbersome and I just hate them and they're like a nude snail pulled on the legs of The Imperial AT-AT Walkers. But now I hesitate, I don't know what to think about them, maybe they aren't so ugly? Oh poor me.
Colours aren't in need, there are Peru inspirated "tobacco browns of gauchos" and "vivid pinks",  and the "folkloric alpaca blanket  stripes and patterned knits of Inca culture" appears too. I say, jockey a pony or a blood-horse 3., or flourish in the roaring 20s 4. and with a blushing cherry in your cocktail dance the charleston... (Is it possible that this collection makes me to like brown colour? Not impossible.)
A legkétségesebb dolgok számomra ebben a kollekcióban ezek a bőr illetve lakk lábszárvédők...

Givenchy  Fall 2007 Couture
After at all chinese and second hand shop the leopard printed clothes are available from pants to coats it does not seem a genuine idea to use it. But the leopard print can't be obliterated (thank God). The resuscitation of the "amazons of Greek mythology" pass off on an untinged of any frippery or extraneous theatrics show. Tisci's 2007 clothes are absolute fits for sheep-shearings, for polo matches, for fox-huntings or for gladiator fights, but strictly only for the bourgeois stratum.

Givenchy  Fall 2006 Couture
The stepmother of Snow White is compounding the poison for the apple. Monumental. The witch and the ingenue virgin, the fright and the grace, Marilyn Manson and Belle. The beauty and the beast, this is the cliche what Tisci digs out from his impression-kit again and again. At him somehow it works. Maybe because he has a smattering of it.

Givenchy  Fall 2005 Couture
The most exiting thing is always to watch backstage photos and see as chaos rules. I would enjoy so much if I was bungling into something in the backround and fawn on models during make up and hair-do. You know, I would walk to Mariacarla Boscono (on fourth picture) and tell her: You Mariacarla, how could it be that you are old and brand new at the same time, veteran and amateur, and if I land on the Planet of the Apes in 3978 you'd be Nova (Linda Harrison)? I compliment. This woman is so wayout. I haven't got words on the clothes yet. Lace and fur and enamel and dark lights. The continuously showing up materials of Tisci.

Givenchy  Fall 2002 Couture
An extra gift, the 2002 couture show. It worth to watch because there are some lovely clothes but it's not the same concept as Tisci's Givenchy at all, because the creative director at this time was Julien Macdonald and in materials, in shapes and in colours it's totally different. And the models are crrrazy - they're blowing pistolpipes and flirting, they are total cool.
Egy extra ajándék, a 2002-es couture show.

A castle built by one man

Not long ago we were in Bory castle (Székesfehérvár, Hungary) which has been built by one man for 40 years to achieve his artistic dreams and to immortalize the passionate love for his wife. There's an exhibition room in the castle where are a lot of paintings by Jenő Bory himself, by his wife and by other noted artists. A lot of sculptures, towers, spiral staircases and balconies... a little bit renaissance, a little bit gothic, a little bit of this and a litle bit of that. This place is full of charm, it's enchanting and respectable.

A nude woman on my wrist

Three accessories which I wear nowadays. There's a ring in my neck with its own story and I haven't take it off since a year now, later I gonna show it. Here are two watches and a bracelet, which are special in their design and in my heart, too.

WATCH 1: CUPIDO & VENUS
The first one is this Cupido and Venus watch which was made by Lorenzo Lotto's famous painting, whereat the little nice Cupido is gracing Venus... The clockface is gold-rounded, outside it's silver and steel, the watch band is black enamel. I have bought this watch this spring at Kecskemét, Hungary and I haven't seen similar anywhere, on anybody. It's very obtrusive, everyone peer at it and got many compliments. I really love it because it's so unequaled. And of course I have to confess it's very cool to talk big with a nude woman on my wrist...

WATCH 2: GOLDRUSH
My other favourit is this soviet Zaria watch. (Made in USSR.) Compact gold and I've inherited from my mother, it is about 25-30 years old. The only one fault it's not running but as a jewel it works wonderful.
A másik mostani kedvencem ez a szovjet Zaria óra. (Made in USSR.)

This is an Italian silver bracelet what I got from my boyfriend to my birthday this year. I love it because it's elegant and dynamic in the same time. It's fine and like a Keith Haring painting, pop-art.

Not long ago in the editorial of the hungarian Elle magazine I was watching a Philippe Ferrandis crown on Eniko Mihalik's head, and I felt I have to snoop around for its creator. Philippe Ferrandis is a French designer of jewellery and accessories who makes his works from the finest materials, in the highest quality. Couture designers, like Balmain, Oscar de la Renta, Jean Louis Scherrer, Escada or Chanel all ask him to accessorize their fashion shows. No wonder if he makes that beautiful jewels like this necklace with Swarovski crystals, or this Frog with crown ring.

The empire Stripes back

In the depth of sommer it would be a little bit late to write that stripes gonna be the trend this summer. I do not plan to do it. Not only this summer but it's stylish (or not, you'll see) for a hundred years to wear the crowd of parallel lines on your body, that's why I guess there's noone who hasn't got any of them in her/his closet. But what is this everlasting stripe-mania?

Actually I was thinking about why striped motif survives every season, why it appears again and again in the collections, why it is eternal, why we never get bored of it, why it is classic and modern in the same time, why everybody wear it, and why it is still not old-fashioned. Its greatness is in its simpleness: if you want it's unperceivable, if you want it's garish. It can fade into a set and with its wispy fancy to complete that, and it stands its ground too as an archmotif coruscating as the uncrowned king of your look.

The striped is the yin and yang of the motifs, the perfect harmony of contrasts, the primary form of geometry, the embodiment of parallel perfection, the most minimal shape. Stripes are rebel. The design variations of it on clothes are limitless, that's why it can't be worn-out, either in the classical black(blue)-white, or in XXI. century style we use it.
A csíkos a minták jin és jangja, az ellentétek tökéletes harmóniája, a geometria elsődleges formációja, a párhuzamos tökéletesség megtestesítése, a legminimalistább figura. A csíkos maga a lázadás. Ruhára aplikált variációinak száma szinte végtelen, ezért is olyan elcsépelhetetlen, akár klasszikus fekete(kék)-fehér, akár XXI. századi stílusban használjuk.
Sonia Rykiel for KronKron.

The striped motif is one of the milestones of style, unambiguously its basic piece. How stripes came a determining long way it shows that about its history there's a book called The Devil's Cloth: A History of Stripes by Michel Pastoureau.
A csíkos minta a stílus egyik mérföldköve, mára egyértelműen alapdarabja. Hogy a csíkos minta mennyire meghatározó utat járt be, más sem mutatja jobban, mint hogy történetéről könyv is született, egészen pontosan Michel Pastoureau The Devil's Cloth: A History of Stripes című irománya.

✄ I have to make a confess: I am totally in love with Tsumori Chisato Fall 2010 Ready-To-Wear collection! It reminds me of the the Arabian Nights and the luxury sheikh world, shotted with the dynamic linelead of modernism. The legionary Mrs. Jean-Claude Van Damme, gypsies and circus performers, and the owerwhelming feathery which reminiscent of the 20's coupling with curtainbraids, flimsy materials and shiny "heavy" gems. Multifarious of the patterns and the absolute congestion of them mark this (I rarely use this word but) marvelous (I guess rather spring/summer) collection. Tsumori Chisato is my hero!

According to Cameron Norrie's review of Michel Pastoureau's The Devil's Cloth: A History of Stripes book: "Pastoureau describes the medieval period's tendency to use stripes to identify those viewed as outcasts in society, including: serfs, the condemned, prostitutes, jugglers, clowns, hangmen, Jews, lepers, cripples, bohemians, and heretics. The negative, or evil, stripe also appears in iconography and literary texts, worn by: treacherous knights, adulterous wives, disloyal brothers, cruel dwarves, greedy servants, Lucifer, the madman of the Book of Psalms, and Judas. A fascinating illustration included in the book, from a mural in Italy painted around 1340, depicts three young women condemned to prostitution saved by Saint Nicolas - all three in striped garments. In 1254, when monks of the Carmelite Order returned from the Holy Land in striped cloaks, scandal broke out - they were ridiculed and accused of being in league with the Antichrist. The wearing of striped habits for all religious orders was banned. In 1310 a 'cobbler said to be a cleric' was sentenced to death for being married and being 'caught in striped clothes.' Pastoureau follows the stripe through history, as it is associated with servants, then later as revolutionary during the French Revolution. The punishing and degrading stripe reserved for prisoners, was again used by the Nazis in the concentration camps. Along all these vicious or negative stripes, good stripes also began to appear: a celebratory stripe, a romantic stripe, a seaside stripe, a children's stripe (sailor suits and Obelix!), an athletic stripe and a hygienic stripe." I think it is impossible to display the multitude of variations. We have seen stripes in every material and colour, from pants to pins, in every piece. Now, when summer's rumping and there's thousands degrees, I have chosen these two shirts by Alexander Wang from the Spring 2010 Ready-To-Wear collection. Next to the stripes there are two other "new" madness, the belly shirt and the socks + sandal couple (in this case though those are not sandals, but we're talking about summer, this is socks + shoes, so this is about the same thing). About this two (I think superb) (and not really new) trend (which fuels the debate about it) later I gonna care for.

This wedge of Charlotte Olympia, the striped dress of Moschino Fall 2010 Ready-To Wear collection or the sailor shirt of Mads Norgaard Spring 2010 Men's collection is the sample for that classical striped pattern will probably appear in the next years, decades and flourish again and again that we can admire the greatness of its simpleness...
Charlotte Olympia telitalpú magassarkúja, a Moschino 2010-es Őszi Ready-To-Wear kollekció csíkos kisruhája vagy Mads Norgaard 2010-es Tavaszi férfikollekciójának matrózpólója a mutatója annak, hogy a klasszikus csík mintázat várhatóan a következő években, évtizedekben is évről évre felbukkan majd és újra meg újra új virágot bont, hogy egyszerűségének nagyszerűségét még sokáig csodálhassuk...
