The girl who wasn't there

Well, at last here's the report about friday, about the 2ManyBloggas4: Well-Designed party. I wanted to write it formerly but - to be quite frank - I didn't know, how to. The evening hasn't happened as I'd wanted. As it were, not at all. And I had to digest it in myself, think how to represent it, what to do with this, how to work it off. Right, it's not that baleful, don't worry, actually I was just lazy.

Nos, végre itt van a beszámoló a péntek estéről, a 2ManyBloggas4: Well-Designed buliról. Már korábban szerettem volna megírni, de - őszinte leszek - nem tudtam, hogyan. Nem igazán úgy alakult az este, ahogy szerettem volna. Mondhatni, egyáltalán nem. És (igen, nyelvtani hiba) kicsit meg kellett emésztenem magamban, hogyan tálaljam, mit kezdjek a dologgal, hogyan dolgozzam fel. Jó, azért ennyire nem vészes a helyzet, nem kell megijedni, igazából csak lusta voltam.

Right at the start. We met at my friend's flat, drinking, sorting of clothes, etc, I guess this is a familiar situation to all of you, unnecessary to detail. (Oh, I got the rose, and I message from here, two days.) At quarter to twelve we were thinking to call a taxi, I shouldda been there by midnight, because they talk about the blog and start to screen the videos. Okay. We got into the taxi. I was about a status like Courage the Cowardly Dog - wobbling on the edge of the healthy exitement and the sickly paranoia. I explain it right. We get there, midnight passed. I guess I missed the speech.

Kezdem az elején. A barátnőmék lakásán találkozunk, iszogatás, ruhaválogatás, estébé, ismerős a szitu mindenkinek, felesleges részletezni. (Ja, a rózsát én kaptam, és innen üzenem, hogy két nap.) Háromnegyed tizenkettőkor még azon filóztunk, talán taxit kéne hívni, éjfélre nem ártana ott lennem, mert elvileg beszélnek a blogról, és elkezdik a videókat vetíteni. Jó. Bepattantunk a taxiba. Körülbelül olyan állapotban voltam, mint Bátor, a félénk kutya - az egészséges izgalom és a beteges paranoia peremén ingadozva. Ezt mindjárt kifejtem. Odaértünk, éjfél elmúlt. A beszédről azt hiszem, lemaradtam.

In the whole night that was almost the coolest part when passed by the long long long row, we stand into the door and I could say, "I'm a contributor", and they let us in. This was a good feeling cause I know if I'm in the row and somebody just walks in without any tormentful waiting, I turn up my nose so that's why it felt so good. I know I'm evil and malevolent and I guess behind they really really hated us. Never mind.

About the video. I won't lie, I created this on only one afternoon, and it's like that. I won't explain myself it's amateur and inchoate, but it's mine. The conception was I wanted to show through some hungarian designer's websites what's their online world like. I did not want to display the photos or the structure of the page, I just wanted to adumbrate something and to bring the viewers to click. I don't know if it happened or not.

Az egész estében majdnem az volt a legcoolabb rész, amikor a kilométeres sor mellett elhaladva, beálltunk az ajtóba és azt mondhattam, "közreműködő vagyok", és simán beengedtek minket. Ez csak azért volt jó érzés, mert tudom, hogy ha én állok a sorban, és valaki csak úgy bemegy mindenféle kínlódásokkal teli várakozás nélkül, nagyon felhúzom magam, és ezért ez most különösen jól esett. Tudom, hogy gonosz és kárörvendő vagyok és valószínűleg a mögöttünk jövők nagyon utáltak minket. Na mindegy.

A videóról. Nem hazudok, egyetlen délután alatt raktam össze, olyan is lett. Nem fogok magyarázkodni, amatőr és kezdetleges, de az enyém. A koncepció az volt, hogy néhány magyar tervező honlapján keresztül megmutatni, hogy milyen well-designed a hazai tervezői gárda online világa. A célom nem az volt, hogy megmutassam a fotókat vagy konkrétan az oldal szerkezetét, hanem sokkal inkább az, hogy sejtessek valamit és ezzel rávegyem a videó nézőit arra, hogy kattintsanak. Nem tudom ez mennyire jött össze.

▲ So, continue the story. We walked in, walked up, my video was running. I became terrible excited. Then, as I was watching my video on the wall, the sickly, self-bespattering paranoia was coming upon me, and there was that one thought in my mind that what I made is a piece of sh*t and I want them to stop playing it IMMEDIATELY and I want nobody watch it again. Of course it was played several times. So posteriorly I guess I overreacted it. Two days later, I got an e-mail from one of the designers from the video and he said, it was super.

I don't know what to think. At the party after watching my video several times, I stood there and wanted to go away, so we went home, watched Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola, and ate popcorn.

It was kinda strange, while my video was running on the wall - as a backgound of the party -, and some watched, nobody knew its editor stands there, what she feels, and nobody was interested really, that you are this person, and you want to screeam, hey people, or I don't know, anything. I felt myself I'm the girl who wasn't there.

I captured a little part as the video was played at the party, it has a different impact, and the music doesn't Format: B what I added to it originally. (Of course I knew it before it won't be.) (On the beamer there's my previous header image, above Position.)

▲ Szóval, folytatom a sztorit. Bementünk, felmentünk, a videóm már ment. Iszonyatosan izgatott lettem. Aztán, ahogy a nagy falon néztem a videóm, egyre inkább rám tört a beteges, önpocskondiázó paranoia, és ezek után már csak az az egy gondolat keringett a fejemben, hogy amit csináltam az egy kalap sz*r, és azt akarom, hogy AZONNAL levegyék a falról, és senki ne lássa többet. Persze jó sokszor leadták még. Így utólag, lehet kicsit túlreagáltam. Két nappal később, kaptam az egyik tervezőtől, akinek az oldala szerepelt a videómban egy e-mailt, azt írta szuper volt.

Nem tudom, hogy mit gondoljak. Miután párszor levetítették, csak álltam és el szerettem volna jönni, úgyhogy így is lett, hazataxiztunk, megnéztük Francis Ford Coppolától a Drakulát és popcornt ettünk.

Olyan furcsa volt az egész, miközben az óriás kivetítőn ment a videóm - hát mint háttere a bulinak -, és néhányan nézték, senki nem tudta, hogy a készítője ott áll, és mit érez most, nem is igazán érdekelt ez senkit, hogy te vagy az, és te most azt szeretnéd ordítani, hogy hé emberek, vagy mit tudom én, akármit. Úgy éreztem magam, mint a lány, aki igazából ott sincs. Na mindegy.

Levideóztam egy kis részt, ahogy a buliban játszották, egész más a hatása, mint kicsiben, és a zene sem a Format: B volt, amit eredetileg hozzá raktam. (Persze ezzel tisztában voltam előtte is.) (A kivetítőn ott az előző fejlécem, a Position felett.)

On the whole, after all at this distance of time I'm glad I was there. And thank you again Kunk-boys you honoured me with your confidence, I am grateful. The biggest lesson of the night: if you're a perfectionst, never give out from your hands a work what you're not sure for 200% in. Thank you all for coming, watching, reading.

Összességében, így pár nappal később, végül is örülök, hogy ott voltam. Innen is még egyszer köszönöm a Kunk-fiúknak, hogy megtiszteltek és bizalommal meghívtak, hálás vagyok érte. Végül is a legnagyobb tanulság az estéből: ha maximalista vagy, soha ne adj ki a kezedből olyan munkát, amiben nem vagy 200%-ig biztos. Köszönöm mindenkinek, aki eljött, megnézett, elolvasott.

The Dynamic White

The default colour is white. Alexander Wang for the Spring of 2011 creates the composition of The Dynamic White. Very optimistic and pure, as the designer described his collection which resusciates the street-casual clothes invented by Helmut Lang and Ann Demeulemeester in the nineties. Of course the hip-hop likeness, the music or the Basquiat effect in the scribble-printed clothes, smells like the eighties. It's certainly intentional. The New York downtown young girls go to party.

Az alapértelmezett szín a fehér. Alexander Wang 2011 tavaszára A dinamikus fehér kompozícióját alkotja meg. Nagyon optimista és tiszta, a tervező így jellemezte a kilencvenes évek Helmut Lang és Ann Demeulemeester által feltalált hétköznapi viseletet feltámasztó kollekcióját. Persze a hip-hop beütés, a zene vagy a Basquiat-effektus, ami az összefirkált ruhákban jelentkezik, nagyon is nyolcvanas évek szagú. Szándékosan persze. A New York-i downtown fiatal lányai bulizni indulnak.

The white, the aqua and the pale terra-cotta waft-y canvas clothes are dynamic and living, the parts of a vibrant organic puzzle. The models can walk actually. I mean, really, they don't even walk, they sleek. And they're total cool. I look at them, and comes to my mind: hey, let's go party. Sure we can't leave at home the supersweetie (can't believe I've written down this word) Alexander. Party with Erin Wasson, too! Before we'd get into our floppy-loose Wang clothes and sure the song was trolling loud all night long.

A fehér, az aqua és a halvány terra-cotta színű lebegő vászonruhák dinamikusak és élők, egy vibráló organikus kirakó részei. A modellek tulajdonképpen tudnak járni. Úgy értem, tényeg, nem is járnak, suhannak. És teljesen jó fejek. Rájuk nézek, és az jut eszembe: hé, menjünk bulizni. Persze a szupercuki (nem hiszem el, hogy leírtam ezt a szót) Alexandert sem szabadna otthon hagyni. Bulizzunk Erin Wassonnal is! Előtte belebújnánk a suhogó-surranó Wang ruhákba és biztos, hogy egész éjjel hangosan szólna az ének.

Lazy cat

I know I've been a lazy cat nowdays. Not because there were fewer posts than I wanted, that's one thing. Rather because I didn't write. I mean what I performed was empty yacking, and this is the nicest word. Nothing. I did not care about anything seriously just dragging my feet. Autumn apathy? If this exists I blame it on that. But hey kids, I got so much to tell, it won't fit out on the door, so from next week I tend to do TALK. No more excuse or mew. Tonight there're gonna be the 2ManyBloggas4 party, I've transmitted my video about 2 hours ago (in time, what a miracle, pf), and I'm jittering about the evening. So cross your finger for me for example not to fall (I haven't wore high heels since centuries, shame n' slur), and for example that we can sleep somewhere. The report will come. Next week Mademoiselle's going to attack, with newness, new projects, and the be in making (temporarily in spectaculation) idea of a zine, it's gonna be cool, you'll see. Bring your mums and pops. Ok, I stop.

Tudom, hogy egy lusta dög voltam mostanában. Nem csak, mert kevesebb post volt, mint szerettem volna, az egy dolog. Inkább, mert nem írtam. Mármint, olyan értelemben, hogy amit produkáltam, az a legkedvesebb szóval is csak üres locsogás volt. Semmi. Igazán semmivel nem foglalkoztam komolyabban, csak ímmel ámmal. Őszi fásultság? Ha létezik ilyen, mindenképpen rákenem. Na de gyerekek, annyi a mondanivalóm, hogy ki se fér az ajtón, úgyhogy jövő héttől ezerrel belehúzok a DUMÁLÁSba. Nincs több kecmec, kifogás, nyávogás. Ma pedig lesz a 2ManyBloggas4 buli, amire már leadtam a videómat kb. 2 órája (kész csoda, hogy még időben, pf), és eléggé izgulok az este miatt. Szóval szurkoljatok, például azért, hogy ne essek orra (évezredek óta nem volt rajtam magassarkú, szégyen s gyalázat), meg aztán például azért is, hogy legyen hol aludnunk. Majd jön a beszámoló. Jövő héten támad a Mademoiselle, újdonságokkal, új prodzsektekkel, egy készülő (egyelőre még csak elméletben) zine ötletével, nagyon jó lesz, meglátjátok. Hozzátok apátok, anyátok. Jó, abbahagyom.

We all miss you Corinne Day. Gold shores, gold shoes, gold candles. I'm listening Bob Dylan and I get into a kinda strange mood. It flaps away the stiffness and apathy of recent times of me. Anyway there's nothing between these three pictures, but even so there's something. The gold is windswept, ornated, dancing. Kate, Rodarte and Jack. The crazy, the antique and the Evil.
Mindenkinek hiányzol Corinne Day. Arany partok, arany cipők, arany gyertyák. Bob Dylan-t hallgatok, és valami egészen furcsa hangulatba kerültem. Az utóbbi idők merevségét és fásultságát hessegeti el belőlem. Egyébként semmi köze ennek a három képnek egymáshoz, de mégis. Az arany szélfútta, cirádás, táncoló. Kate, Rodarte és Jack. A bolond, az antik és a Gonosz.

One day we were watching Kalifornia, once I saw it almost till its end in the television. The character of Juliette Lewis enthralled me. The innocent, kind naivety (stupidity). But I rather observed her clothes, her style. Rachel Comey this year, Peter Som next year, Lolita or Adele Corners. This video is from Too Young To Die? tv film also with Brad Pitt, I must watch.

Egyik nap néztük a Kalifornia című filmet, egyszer régen láttam már majdnem végig a tévében. Juliette Lewis karaktere már akkor is elbűvölt. Az ártatlan, kedves naivság (butaság). De inkább figyeltem a ruháira, a stílusára. Rachel Comey idén, Peter Som jövőre, Lolita vagy Adele Corners. Ez a videó a szintén Brad Pittel közös Too Young To Die? című tv filmből van, muszáj megnéznem.

Bondage and school backpack

Two things: bondage and my elementary school Oxford backpack. The spring Rag & Bone collection means this for me. The so-called show with the military uniform and the buggering-around-the-zippers we all know from David Neville and Marcus Wainwright but this time they twisted on it a bit. The very-basic-like is not in the classic - everyone has one of it in her/his wardrobe - topic, because the Rag & Bone boys work very hard to make everything look very easy, just look at it well. Chiffon. This is the material which can salute as a G1 fighter-pilot. (Whatever it means, the G1.) About that it's wearable or not I won't argue. If you're dunking your little curious hands into futuristicness you're fingering in future's ultraeasy visions and past's (the 1990s) time electronicness at the same time. I had a backpack in elementary school, it had the same buckles.

Két dolog: bondage és az általános iskolás Oxford hátitáskám. Ez nekem a tavaszi Rag & Bone. A military egyenruha meg a hülyülés-a-cipzárral című műsort eddig is produkálta David Neville és Marcus Wainwright, most kicsit csavartak rajta. A nagyon-alap-szerű náluk nem tartozik a klasszikus - mindenki ruhatárában van egy darab belőle - témakörbe, mert a Rag & Bone fiúk kemény munkával azt érik el, hogy minden egyszerűen nézzen ki, csak nézd jól meg. Műselyem. Ez az az anyag, ami képes G1-es vadászpilótaként szalutálni. (Akármit is jelent, mármint a G1.) Arról, hogy hordható darabokról beszélünk, vagy nem, inkább nem nyitnék vitát. Ha már a futurisztikusságba mártogatjuk kíváncsi kis kacsóinkat, egyszerre tapicskolunk a jövő ultrakönnyed vízióiban és a múlt (a 1990-es évek) korszakának elektronikusságában. Volt nekem egy hátitáskám általános iskolában, pont ilyen csatok voltak rajta.

So yes, that's why I want to work at backstage. I wrote about why I'd like to work behind the scenes, and there were reasons like to bother the models (just because I admire/adore them), bungle into something (anything) or to interrogate Mariacarla. But seriously... fresh clothes hanging on the racks and shoecreations rolling on the ground, smell of hair spray and powder dust. Hello, Heaven.

Na igen, ezért akarok a háttérben dolgozni. Már írtam róla, hogy miért is szeretnék az ún. kulisszák mögött dolgozni, és olyan okok szerepeltek, mint például a modellek molesztálása (de csak, mert csodálom/imádom őket), belekontárkodni valamibe (akármibe) vagy Mariacarla kifaggatása. Na de komolyan... fogasokra aggatott friss ruhák és a földön hempergő cipőkreációk, hajlakkszag és púderpor. Helló, Mennyország.

There is a natural overlap and connection between design, style, art, fashion, music, and blog culture. The 2ManyBloggas series of parties has explored this convergence together with the collaborative efforts of some of Hungary's most influential blogs and dj acts. This 4th edition will coincide with the beginning of Budapest Design Week 2010, and thus will adopt the moniker of WELL-DESIGNED. Since design manifests itself in a myriad of ways: in physical space, in architecture, in sensory input, in the cut of cloth -- to name but a few, participant blogs will make creations in a format of their choosing - photo series, video, website, or physcial object - which best represents their blog's vision on what is well-designed, either in the world, or in Budapest specifically.
On October 1 inside the newly renovated interior of Merlin, blogger-visions will be on display along with short accompanying descriptions by the author blogs and it will be set against the backdrop of a stylish party headlined by musical tastes of hosts Kunk, who are gonna mix the most well-designed music the blogs can offer, and other smart/future-focused electro-pop-tech acts. The smart room will feature the cutting edge in electro with We Plants Are Happy Plants' live act that continues to inspire awe each time. Kollektiva's TMX is gonna deliver a special smart electro set for this night and Datascent will demonstrate their ecstasy-inducing smart techno. Meanwhile, the "future room" at the bar will feature sets by Ghetto Bazaar's Popbitch and blnd! Popbitch brings the future of house while blnd! presents the next step in garage. The Lamantin DJs are preparing with a set to show the upcoming trends in underground pop music.
In addition to the blogger contributions, early arrivals are going to be greeted with party bites by the pioneer of Hungarian designconfectinaries, Sugar, who will also display some of the finest manifestations of their art. Moreover, designcoctails will be on sale by the venue while they last and the audience will be able to amuse itself with some exciting live action surprise activities.
The perfect way to kick-off BDW - party with those at the forefront of Budapest's design scene, and the tastemakers blogging about it!

A 2ManyBloggas bulisorozat célja, hogy feltárja az átfedéseket és kapcsolódásokat a dizájn, a stílus, a művészet, a divat, a zene és a blogkultúra közt, s mindezeket egy party-pakkba csomagolva nyújtson egy-egy különleges estét. A Magyarország trenddiktáló bloggereinek és djinek kreatív együttműködését tető alá hozó sorozat 4. állomása egybeesik a 2010-es budapesti Design Héttel, így az est tematikája is ehhez igazodik: "WELL-DESIGNED" - ez az összefoglaló szlogenje az október 1-jén a Merlinben tartandó bulinak. Mivel a design rengetegféleképp megjelenik (építészetben, érzéki benyomások, ruhaszabásminták, hogy megnevezzünk néhányat) a résztvevő blogoknak is be kell mutatniuk sajátos módon egyedi víziójukat arról, hogy milyen szerintük a "szépen dizájnolt" Budapest és világ.

Október 1-én a megújult enteriőrrel büszkélkedő helyszínen a blogok víziói megjelenhetnek akár fotósorozat, videó, honlap vagy tárgy formájában a bloggerek által írt rövid ismertetővel megtámogatva. E kihívóan izgalmasnak ígérkező kulisszák között nyílik alkalom a táncolásra, a Kunk és más "smart/future" hangzásra fókuszáló elektronikuszenei fellépők irányításával. A Merlin nagyterme a "smart room" nevet kapja, ahova a Kunk a legjobban dizájnolt blogkedvenc zenékkel készül. Fellép élőben We Plants Are Happy Plants, ami továbbra is minden alkalommal lenyűgöző, a Kollektivás TMX, aki erre az estére egy különleges "smart electro" szettel készül, és a Datascentes srácoktól lehet majd hallani eksztázisba taszító "smart techno"-t. A külső terem "future room" névre hallgat majd, ahol a Ghetto Bazaar és a Lamantin enged betekintést a jövőbe. Popbitch a house, blnd! pedig a garage területén játszik előremutatót, a Lamantin DJk pedig a holnap underground popzenei trendjeiből készülnek.

A bloggerek hozzájárulásai mellett a magyar dizájncukrászat úttörője, a Sugar! kiállítja néhány mesterművét és jóvoltából a korán érkezőket partifalatokkal fogadjuk, míg a Merlin dizájnkoktélokat árul, ameddig a készlet tart. A közönségre vár még meglepetés: élő interaktív felületek teszik az estét még formásabbá.

A 2ManyBloggas 4 tökéletes nyitánya a Budapest Design Hét 2010-nek: buli, ami összehozza a dizájn-teremtőket a dizájn szerelmeseivel.

Black + Leather = Love

"Jellyfish. That, Mandy Coon explained, was the rather eccentric inspiration for her spring collection." Well, if she says so. Nowdays in my runway posts I use the notion "the trousers of the year", "the colour of the year", "the whatewer of the year", and no matter how far I hate myself because this but I can't say anything else that next will be the year of leather. This is the most exicting period, when you lay down these basic theories and then see, oh yes, this and that and yon designer works with the same elements. Fashion is passion. The waif child of style (I mean, The Leather) claims the attention of 2011. Of course it means it won't be the base piece of punks, rockers, goths, unique persons, bla bla bla, shdkjfjkhfsfj, etc only but it will filter into everywhere and turn the same fate as latex leggings. I doesn't matter, but we cross our fingers for you, Mr. Leather. I really love this collection. Togas, loose ends, linting materials, jellyfish whips and The leather. WEAR IT!

"Medúza. Ez, magyarázza Mandy Coon, volt a tavaszi kollekcióm legexcentrikusabb inspirációja." Ha ő mondja. A mostani runway postjaimban többször használom az "év nadrágja", "év színe", "év akármije" fogalomgyűrűket, és akármennyire utálom magam miatta, most sem tudok mást mondani, mint hogy a következő a bőr éve lesz. Ez a legizgalmasabb periódus, amikor lefekteti az ember ezeket az alaptéziseket, és aztán látja, hogy igen, hoppá, ez és az és amaz a tervező is ezekkel az elemekkel dolgozik. Fashion is passion. A stílus kitagadhatatlan zabigyereke (mármint, A Bőr) magának követeli 2011 figyelmét.
